Why Tare-It?
Let’s say you want to make banana bread, but you only have two small bananas. Your recipe calls for three large bananas. How do you scale down the recipe?
With Tare-It, weigh your key ingredient (peeled bananas in this case) and the other amounts adjust automatically. Weighing ingredients saves you from figuring out how to measure 7/16 of a cup of milk.
I first made Tare-It after getting frustrated trying to scale and tweak a kimchi recipe. I wanted to cook with the ingredients I had and keep track of changes for next time. I hope it helps you do the same.
