One-Pot Tomato Cream Pasta
“marry me” pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, basil, cream, and parmesan
Ingredients
- 455 g spaghetti
- 680 g marinara sauce
- 710 g water
- 75 g sun-dried tomatoes in oil
- 12 g garlic
- 3 g salt
- 0.5 g dried oregano
- 0.5 g red pepper flakes
- 1.1 g smoked paprika
- 1.1 g black pepper
- 300 g cherry tomatoes
- 20 g basil
- 120 g heavy cream
- 50 g parmesan
Method
- 1. Put the spaghetti, marinara, water, sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, seasonings, cherry tomatoes, and basil in a wide pot. Use a pot that holds the dry strands flat, or substitute short pasta. Stir to distribute.
- 2. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook 15–20 min. Stir every 5 min, separating the strands as they soften. Add hot water if the pot dries out before the pasta is al dente; simmer uncovered if excess liquid remains.
- 3. Remove from the heat. Stir in the cream and parmesan until combined, then serve.
